Camp in Lundbreck Falls Campground on a first come-first served basis. The walk-in tenting sites adjacent to the river are quite lovely and cost $23 per night. The Crowsnest Pass area is just a 10 minute drive away. Stop and admire Lundbreck Falls The Crowsnest River just above the falls You can camp by the Crowsnest Pass River Go for a hike in Lundbreck Falls Provincial Recreation Area is known for its picturesque falls and fantastic fishing, but it also makes a good base camp for exploring the Crowsnest Pass area. Situated near the junction of the Cowboy Trail and Highway 3, Lundbreck Falls campground is only 15 minutes from Frank Slide Interpretive Centre and Leitch Collieries. The little towns of Crowsnest Pass (Frank, Blairmore, Bellevue and Coleman) are 15-30 minutes away with all the basic services as well as some nice cafés and shops. The well designed Frank Slide Interpretive Centre, about 20 minutes west of Lundbreck Falls, is worth the visit (as the Frank Slide of 1903 was the deadliest in Canadian history).

I was able to spend some great times outside recently and grabbed this photo that speak to the amazing beauty of the Crowsnest Pass area. A frozen Lundbreck Falls is always a beautiful site. I have been by the road turnoff to Lundbreck Falls many times without stopping to look. This being a couples trip, I finally did and was amazed. You don't expect to find falls like this on the Alberta prairie. They are two distinct falls, with a drop of around 70 feet or so.

From its source in Crowsnest Lake at an elevation of about 1,357 metres (4,452 ft) in the Canadian Rockies, Crowsnest River meanders eastward through the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass and Frank Slide.It passes into the foothills near Burmis and reaches the western margin of the Alberta plains near Lundbreck.It then joins the Oldman River Reservoir at an elevation of about 1,110 Lundbreck Falls, pictured here, is one option for family-friendly camping. On the way to or from the Crowsnest Pass area, take a short detour off of Highway 3 (there are signs) and visit Lundbreck Falls on the Crowsnest River. The falls themselves aren’t that high but the setting is pretty and the area, especially by the water, is a perfect place for a picnic.
